Old school Italian food with a New York City vibe. Great food and wonderful atmosphere...right out of the 1970s (in a good way).

When you really want Italian food, you've got to go to Colombos! We have heard this advertised on AM870 for years and have always to go. We were in the area and decided to stop for lunch. We had the rolled lasagna and the tiramisu. Both were delicious, I love when tiramisu is homemade! The service was great, and they happily accepted our loud and messy one year old! If you want old school Italian Sinatra vibes, this is your place!

I've been wanting to come here for years after hearing the commercials on the radio. I love the idea of a throwback classic true Italian feel red leather dark interior that a lot of people may not appreciate. We went on a Sunday afternoon just to make sure it wasn't too busy time perfect nice little TV football crowd at the bar, but separate from dining area. From start to finish excellent! Service spot on drinks were great Caesar salad and bread came out before the meal and the steak was perfectly cooked...... GREAT JOB GUYS KEEP IT UP.

Decided to try out Colombo's after many years of passing by it on Colorado. This restaurant has been around since 1954 and serves old school Italian food with a matching ambiance. The staff was friendly and gave you time to enjoy your meal with limited interruptions. We tried the Chicken Parmesan and the Sausage and Peppers. It was all very delicious and the servings were quite generous. The meal also comes with complimentary garlic bread. Parking can be a bit tight when it is busy. For solid traditional Italian food, Colombo's is a great choice.

For an authentic Italian dining experience, this old-school restaurant hits the mark. The staff takes pride in their work, creating a welcoming environment. The menu offers great dishes, with ample portions that justify the price. I'd recommend exploring beyond the basic spaghetti for a more adventurous taste. Just be prepared for the bustling atmosphere, especially on weeknights when it can get crowded and noisy. And if you love live music, the weekends here promise a lively, spirited ambiance.

We came here at Colombo's to celebrate my birthday, ditching my annual visit to Carmel, I opted to have a quiet and chill time at home, have dinner locally, go home after, have a night cap and watch a classic movie ( lol) Not sure if we needed reservation, I called in to see if we can just walk-in and I was informed yes, come on down, the restaurant isn't that busy when we arrived so we got seated immediately, it's a different story at the bar though, you can just tell - the locals sure know that it's cocktail hour! We were seated in an old school red cubicle complete with brass and tacks, a little lamp and a fresh crisp white table cloth awaiting plates of dishes for us to enjoy for the night. I love that they still serve complimentary bread baskets which to be honest some restaurants have already omitted off their service - that was a good start + a bottle of their house red. We ordered the Calamari to start which I have to say was THE BOMB! It was beautifully seasoned and battered, so tender and delicious! Served with a marinara dipping sauce, I could seriously eat that any day. Yum! My fiance and Pop's had the rolled lasagna and I had the Chicken Parmesan; The Lasagna comes in four delicious rolls smothered in cheese and sauce, beautifully cooked, nicely seasoned, and has a good balance of flavor. A beautiful Parmesan crust adorned my Parmesan Chicken which complements its delicate sauce. The chicken remain tender yet crispy on the outside, the spaghetti was cooked al dente, accentuated by the balanced flavors of tomatoes, herbs, and sauce. I have to say, we picked some really yummy dish! It always make me smile when I see our old school restaurants still going strong especially in this very competitive restaurant market (sad when Capri closed though). Colombo's is definitely an Eagle Rock staple - a landmark. They have amassed a loyal local support and following hence they've stayed in business for as long as they did and yes, the crowd is often local, older but that's one thing I liked about it - they are not getting swayed by the hype or the current Italian food twist - sticking to the classics, food that is good and true. It feels home-cooked, comforting and delicious, the sauces in the dishes does not over power the meal but accentuates it to one's delight. I had an awesome celebration here at Colombo's, Good food! Fast and friendly service! Thanks for the Ice Cream! Cheers!
